Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project´s objective has been to develop a global, coupled, simulation model and validate a technical concept for a floating vertical axis wind turbine and to develop a financial plan which has been fulfilled well. The project has not succeeded in establishing customer collaborations according to the project´s ambition. The purpose of the project has been to contribute to reduced costs for the floating wind power segment and thereby speed up the conversion to 100% renewable energy.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project´s expected results were a completely linked simulation model where all relevant degrees of freedom are captured. The model has been used to validate the concept and dimension parts. The outcome has been a significant technical redesign, which at such an early stage can certainly be expected.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project has been carried out according to plan, except for two rather significant aspects. Market research has been redirected and forced to be carried out with its own staff and digitally instead of using a consultant physically and digitally. Funds have been redirected to land an updated technical execution of the concept. The procurement of consulting services and associated project management and follow-up has worked satisfactorily.
