Important results from the project
The building industry has, for many years, suffered from inefficiency and poorly managed information transactions throughout the construction process and beyond. To remedy this, Cad-Q has initiated the development of BIMeye®, a cloud service aimed to support unhindered information transactions throughout a buildings life cycle, from an early idea to Facility Management. BIMeye will support a rapidly expanding need of new working processes, sometimes referred to as Building Life cycle Management, among the most future-oriented building developers and property managers.
Expected long term effects
The new working method has already proven efficiency as 75% of the users in our customer survey indicated that they save time with this new approach (70% saves 1-4 hours per week, 20% save 5-9 hours per week). Based on this, one can play with an assumption that if you had 10,000 people who worked like this you could get a rationalization of 100,000 hours per month, which at an average service revenues of SEK 700 / hour would save approx. 3.1 billion SEK per year.
Approach and implementation
For the broadest possible input in the implementation of the project, Cad-Q has searched cooperation with: Chalmers University of Technology, National organizations for collaboration and standards in the Nordic countries (BIM Alliance, BIPS, eg.), Datacubist, Cuneco, developers of CCS which is a digital infrastructure that makes it possible to communicate clearly through the building process all the way from idea to operation. Svensk Byggtjänst,manager/developer of the BSAB standard. Locum AB, property owners who is starting to make demands on BIM Data Management.
