Important results from the project
The aim of the project has been to get a clearer picture of the effect our software can have on a child’s development, and how we can reach out to them. We have been conducting workshops in schools focusing on learning. Our software has been used in combination with another software during these workshops. The goal has been to learn about the user experience and engagement from the students and from the teachers, as well as validating our business model.
Expected long term effects
The usability results from running workshops in schools have been very positive. The students enjoyed the workshops and the headmasters and teachers saw the possibilities that our software provides for educational purposes and improving student engagement. The primarily result for the business model gave us hints that schools might not be our primary source of revenue. Instead, we should focus on home users. Our ongoing discussions with scientists have given us a greater understanding of the importance of spatial intelligence and our software’s potentially very positive effect.
Approach and implementation
We created study material before going to the schools. Both for the teachers and the students. The material consisted of building instructions that facilitates the learning of our software and a simple teacher’s manual with example lesson plans. (The links to these are attached below). We put some time on product development of functionalities of great importance. Both before and after the study, based on the results. We improved the user interface and user experience. Added functionality that our users requested and export functionality that enables users to create together.
