Important results from the project

CapSenze flow-based technology platform mAbLAB is the core of this VINNOVA-driven project and has its foundation for more than fifteen years of research and development. CapSenze´s work on instrument development is largely based on this research conducted at the Division of Biotechnology at Lund University.

Expected long term effects

CapSenze has developed an analytical flow-injection method with a range of innovative hardware solutions as well as a smart and user-friendly software. These components together form a technology platform that is very suitable for performing accurate online measurements of a bioprocess. With this newly developed Swedish analysis technology, our ambition in this project is to take a final step toward the commercialization of the mAbLAB method for online-based quality control of mAb production focusing on the global pharmaceutical industry.

Approach and implementation

CapSenze Technology Platform mAbLAB has been found to be in the category of self-certification in the following EU directives: Low Voltage (LVD), Machine, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electronics Waste. Following a procurement process, this resulted in a work that included a number of occasions where LVD and EMC validation were carried out in a custom laboratory at the company Jan Linders AB in Gothenburg.
