Important results from the project
The work has been very successful as it has resulted in orders. FlexProp has received orders from three major aircraft aircraft manufacturer, as a direct consequence of this project. Feasibility studies and production equipment. In addition FlexProp has been invited to offer a line for subassemblies for fuselage assembly. Tis project has also become an integrated part of parallel research projects, such as ´grön Flygteknisk demionstrator´ , SVL Proof of Concept, Material baserad konkurrenskraft and RISE TOD.
Expected long term effects
As a direct result of the project FlexProp has doublled the turnover and is in the process of hireing at lest two more emplyees. FlexProp also plan to doubble the turnover in 2015.
Approach and implementation
The aproach to develop one design platform was not realistic. But this has been compensated by a number of designstudies. FlexProp has been very sucsessful in attracting the industry. The industry has taken active part in the development process and thereby FlexProp got very detailed insight in the demands from the industry. Furthermore the results has been evaluated by the industry.
