Important results from the project

The project Local Mobilisation (Lokal Kraft) has contributed to gathering actors, across sector boundaries, to develop working methods and partnerships to consistently maximize climate benefits in local development work within existing city districts. The system demonstrator enables for instance synergies between climate transition areas, system changes, as well as anchoring and acceleration of the climate transition process. The initiative contributes to the political goals of creating a society characterized by inclusion, social cohesion, and climate neutrality.

Expected long term effects

The project has contributed to; clarify prioritized challenges and transition areas, shaping a work method where effects can be maximized through local development focusing on synergies between existing resources and functions. In proposed pilot areas, the city and mobilized local actors can join forces around a phase 1 implementation of the system demonstrator, with the potential to scale up the work in another 4 6 areas in phase 2. In this way, the project contributes to enabling a faster, just, and more equal climate transition, and to building Malmö wholly and sustainable.
