Important results from the project
The purpose of the study was to examine the conditions for establishing reality labs in local authorities where products, services and processes relating to welfare technology and accessible living environments are tested and demonstrated under real circumstances. The study has been carried out by The Göteborg Region Association of Local Authorities in collaboration with Johanneberg Science Park.
Expected long term effects
Through workshops and meetings with representatives from local authorities, business, academia and civic society, we have found that the interest in and the need for this type of lab is very big. We will therefore launch reality labs as part of AllAgeHub in the autumn of 2017.
Approach and implementation
We have conducted two workshops with local authorities and corporate representatives to investigate the needs and organization of reality labs. A report summarizing the results has been produced. Discussions have also been taken with AllAgeHub´s partners involving public sector, academy, business and civic society stakeholders. A smaller environmental analysis has been done by examining how other test beds in the country work, and by attending the MVTe Conference.
