Important results from the project

The purpose and goal of this feasibility study was to find an attractive educational concept for SME within sustainable lightweight technologies. This was done by letting companies together with the project group decide what such training would look like and how it should be structured so that it suits the companies best. This was achieved by developing educational goals, approaches and continuation concepts through interviews. OEM were also interviewed to understand future requirements. The feasibility study met the set objective.

Expected long term effects

Results from the feasibility study show that they are well prepared to create a main project to develop an education within Sustainable lightweight courses. This should be attractive to companies as they themselves have been involved in developing the form of education so that it suits them. It has also shown in interviews that companies have a great interest in the subject of sustainable lightweight materials and want training for their employees. The effect of this feasibility study is hopefully that a future education is developed that increases the competitiveness of Swedish SMEs.

Approach and implementation

The approach throughout the project was to, by listening to the companies´ needs and obstacles, build up a training concept that would be interesting for companies. Experiences from people who have worked with these issues before have been received through interviews, where the project learned how they have worked, what advantages and disadvantages their types of education have had and what they think is important. This has led to future customers of this form of education have been given a chance to influence it during the development phase, which makes the education more attractive.
