Important results from the project
The aim of the project was to increase the knowledge and understanding of how Lekotoper can be planned and built. Within the project, we have explored the issue by studying and producing examples of construction documents for a natural play environment, already built. The goal has been met through the collection of the experiences which the Parks department of in Örebro Council have drawn from working with natural-like playgrounds. The conclusions are summarized in the report, which is part of the development of knowledge around the realization of natural-like play environments.
Expected long term effects
The project work has resulted in examples of drawings at the construction document level, as they had to look in order to result in a natural-like play environment with Lekotoper. When working with these, it has become clear that it is not possible to describe the desired result clearly enough in a strict construction document format with only drawings and technical description. The resulting discussion is summarized in the report. The report is expected to function as a knowledge base and contribute to increasing knowledge and understanding of how Lekotoper can be planned and built.
Approach and implementation
The project began with a site visit and workshop. Interviews with project managers and construction project managers have taken place on several occasions. A survey was carried out after the decision to focus production of documents to Hjälmarviksparken. After that, examples of construction documents were taken from the play environment. The construction documents and their level of detail were discussed during workshops with parts of the project team. The project results are documented in a report that serves as an explanatory supplement to the construction documents.
