Important results from the project
The purpose of the project was to follow up 4 lead user method pilot projects that VINNOVA had funded. The main goal was to learn about the method and its implementation. The reason for this was that VINNOVA had an ambition to engage in more funding of lead user projects and needed to understand more about the method and its pitfalls, so that calls and other initiatives could be more effective.
Expected long term effects
4 pilots were followed and studied. A number of learnings were done in the implemenation, practise and user of lead user method. Several of these learnings VINNOVA could make use of in the call ´Spetsanvändare´, and also for other so called demand side policies.
Approach and implementation
The pilots were mainly studied through intervieews, participation in workshops and by a continous dialog with VINNOVA staff. We had some difficulties to come in contact with one of the pilots, but otherwise there were always a very good climate for discusions and learning.
