Important results from the project
The project has developed conditions, the idea and the constellation to realize large-scale smart destination charging and thereby fulfill the objective of the initialization phase.
Expected long term effects
The project has resulted in an analysis of the needs in the areas of: Society, business models, system efficiency, use, robustness and additional services. The conclusion is that there are a lot of needs that effectively met by the proposed solution. The project has developed a smart grid solution where the charging energy to a number of cars is distributed in a user-friendly manner, given a certain maximum charge power into the parking area. Furthermore, the project has resulted in a proposal on a collaborative project (step 2).
Approach and implementation
The project conducted a business intelligence analysis and a needs analysis based on a large number of meetings with experts and stakeholders, and workshops. Then responsibilities, roles and potential business models between stakeholders were defined. There has also been a continuous exchange of experience with the parallel ongoing project Home Charging for multifamily housing in cities - Gothenburg Case Study (Project no. 41235-1) which is partly financed by the Swedish Energy Agency.
