Important results from the project
The purpose of the project was to develop and patent a product for quantitative and safe assessment of so-called peripheral nerve function in diabetics. In addition, we aimed at carrying out technical and clinical validations, along with user-friendliness tests in order to be ready for a commercial introduction. These activities have been carried out today.
Expected long term effects
The product is fully developed and tested in technical and clinical environments, with completed regulatory documentation. The product has the potential to reduce the number of peripheral nerve complications, and contribute to increasing the knowledge level in the field, along with significant societal costsavings and -most importantly- reduced suffering for the patients.
Approach and implementation
We have reached the majority of the initially set milestones, and have worked with clear goals. Endusers have tested the product, and positive results have been achieved regarding product performance, IP, regulators and production.
