Important results from the project

The purpose was to investigate the potential for a new solution that can connect quantum processors with their control equipment. The goal was to evaluate the market and identify which technical eligibility requirements customers would have for the solution and validate the feasibility of those. This goal has been fulfilled through qualitative market research and has been proven through commercial commitments.

Expected long term effects

The expected result is a business plan including a financial strategy based on the analysis of customer requirements, and market data, as well as an evaluation of competitors and potential partners. Furthermore, the project was to validate the technical functionality of the holder and obtain measurements of important parameters such as gate fidelity, which have been measured at Chalmers. Another result of the project was a patent application with good initial results.

Approach and implementation

The project was divided into business development, customer validation, and technical validation. Two business developers were recruited, and the work packages ran in parallel by the team members with competence and experience in these different areas. Through an established network, and extending that, we developed the solution and the business plan in close relation with international customers and partners. The purpose of this was to adapt the final product to a larger crowd.
