Important results from the project
Optopro is an IT solution for digitizing the process of deployment of fiber optic networks. This project aims to further develop the software´s international competitiveness and increase its customer benefit by developing a module for presentation of key perfomance indicators and statistics. The work name of the module is KPI & Stats. KPI & Stats will collect and present KPI and statistics in real time from fiber deployment projects.
Expected long term effects
A statistics engine prototype has been developed. A collection and compilation of selected statistics has been tested with successful results. The focus has been on developing two specially selected KPI:s, namely "trenching lenght per day and subcontractor" and "number of fiber home installations per day and subcontractor". The user can thus follow and compare, in real time, the production rate of each contractor, subcontractor or employee.
Approach and implementation
Analysis of customer needs, gaining knowledge from the market: Through company visits, fairs and conferences. Assessment of technical conditions required to meet market needs. Investigate the legal conditions for collecting and storing data internationally. Development of prototype. Validation and testing of the prototype with selected actors.
