Important results from the project

KLOSS AkUt has carried out 40 mobility projects to build knowledge how anchored and strategically relevant mobility initiatives should be designed and implemented to further stimulate and enhance the utilization and sharing of knowledge with external organizations. KLOSS AkUT is a complement to existing national programs which strengthen ties and commitment to mobility issues. The project has generated practically useful results for the organizations involved, several of the participating HEI´s have continues with similar initatives.

Expected long term effects

Anchored suggestions on how personal outgoing mobility from the Academy could be further stimulated and strengthened regarding mechanisms (processes / practices) that are needed to support mobility, increased understanding how individuals are motivated to personal mobility and the value of outgoing mobility for individuals and organizations. Recommendations on how the further development of a more permanent national effort can be designed, with the critical factors to take into account, in order to create entrenched and strategically relevant mobility programs.

Approach and implementation

Eleven Swedish universities has been working together test, evaluate and strengthen outgoing mobility from Academy to society. The universities themselves identified and decided mobility projects that have been followed up in KLOSS AkUt. A total of 40 mobility at eleven various universities were implemented and followed up with respect to the achievements and impacts inside as well as outside academia. A mix of methods for knowledge building have been used: Focus groups, logs and survey. Comprehensive documentation, some parts of documentation are also available in English.
