Purpose and goal
To develop a competitive application for the European partnership FutureFoodS first call for proposals, topic 3 ´Empowering sustainable food choices´, we aim to form a European consortium that complement our technical expertise in AI and smart kitchen systems. This includes research teams specializing in inclusive design and expertise in nutrition and dietary behavior change. This consortium will ensure our technical solution addresses the full complexity of sustainable food choices while remaining accessible and beneficial for all users.
Expected effects and result
The subject area addresses the critical challenge of enabling sustainable food choices through systemic changes in food environments, both physical and digital. The call emphasizes the need for transformative approaches to overcome barriers to sustainable food practices while ensuring food security, affordability, and cultural acceptance across Europe. The current project will fund the forming of a consortium and writing the proposal
Planned approach and implementation
The end goal is to submit a proposal to FutureFoodS. The project will support the following steps. Identification and outreach to potential European partners in digital accessibility and nutrition. Regular online consortium meetings. Organization of 2-day workshop in Stockholm. Travel arrangements for international participants. Workshop activities including demo sessions in KTH´s smart kitchen lab. Documentation of workshop outcomes. Writing and compilation of the FutureFoodS. proposal.
