Important results from the project
Applicable certification base for the propeller mechanism has been investigated in order to be able to use the solution in civil aviation. A number of tests have been carried out within the framework of the project and the company´s propeller recessing mechanism has been developed to a higher level. A pre-series of the mechanism has been manufactured and tested successfully. Manufacturing method and supply chain have been established as well as costs for these. Thanks to the production method, the solution can be manufactured cost-effectively even in smaller series.

The project has further validated the solution and its production process and led to several patent applications and new collaborations, both in Sweden and Europe.
Approach and implementation
The work has largely been guided by the certifiability of the solution and is based on existing regulations for civil aviation. carried out with rapid iterations and prototype development to identify challenges in the production process and at the same time improve the solution. In collaboration with several consulting companies that have extensive experience of systems for the aviation industry, problem areas were identified that needed to be solved for a product ready for production.
