Important results from the project
The goal of the project was to find a common vision for Sweden for open transport data starting in the public sector and to develop an action plan with measures to realize strategic objectives to reach the common vision. The project have reach the goals of the project as presented in the final report.
Expected long term effects
The work in finding a common vision for open public data resulted in five areas of embedded strategic objectives to reach the common open transport data vision for Sweden; 1) data and services, 2) licenses and terms, 3) IT architecture, 4) organization and 5) financing.
Approach and implementation
The project was divided into six workshops with various focus areas were processed by the six regional public transport authorities, Swedish Transport Administration, Samtrafiken and third-party developers. The project was funded by Vinnova and the participating industry players inkind. There was great interest in participating in the project.
