Important results from the project

Ekerö municipality has reached the objectives and purposes for the project. We have done following in the project: - current situation analysis - business intelligence analysis - visit other municipalities and real estate companies - developed a target image and strategies for introducing IoT, welfare and real estate technology. - developed architecture principles for digital development and IoT We have increased insights and knowledge about IoT and data-driven working methods, improved collaboration and created commitment among our administrations.

Expected long term effects

In the project, Ekerö municipality has developed cross-administrative goals and strategies that meets the challenges of the future elderly care. We have analyzied the different perspectives of individuals, organization, processes and technology and made a rough impact analysis for the strategic moves Ekerö municipality needs to make in order to work with IoT and data-driven working methods. We hope to realize the goals and strategies for our future care and nursing homes, which will be established in the municipality before 2030.

Approach and implementation

We have worked withused Ekerö municipality´s project model, which comprises four phases; project ordering, planning, implementation and completion. The project has had a steering group including with the Municipal Director, the Administrative Managers of the Social Administration and the City Building Administration and the Development Manager at the Municipal Board Administration. The steering group has held meetings regularly and made strategic decisions. The project has also worked cross-administrative with reference groups (experts and end users - elderly).
