Important results from the project

The purpose of the IoFood-project was to implement and test a prototype service for wireless surveillance of food transports. Identifying new international business opportunities has also been a goal of the project. The project has implemented and tested a service together with users. New international business opportunities have been identified.

Expected long term effects

The project has provided clear purchase signals from some of Scanbox´s customers. If the company chooses to commercialize the service, new revenue streams may be expected.

Approach and implementation

The project was originally planned for two complete development iterations with user studies - concept development - software development - user tests. Due to the fact that hardware was delivered late, only one iteration has been completed. In spite of this, the project has achieved a high functionality relative to its original plan. Likewise, user interfaces have turned out to be good, and well adapted to the users´ needs.
