Important results from the project
The project aims to collect and analyze knowledge in specific areas to develop an understanding of how interoperability can be achieved between different IoT platforms. Through a pilot project, the project will practically test and apply selected requirements to create insights about the way forward, towards interoperability. The report is expected to end with a conclusion of the project as well as recommendations for continued work and implementation in the area of interoperability.
Expected long term effects
Platform suppliers have the task of exploring and creating insight into standards in order to be able to develop the platforms. Participating municipalities in the Internet of Things Jönköpings county project should, after the project´s implementation, be able to use the IoT county-wide platform together with standards for requirements towards system suppliers. The project not only aims to show how standards can be used when exchanging data between two platforms, but also how this data can be made available as open data. The project should inspire other actors through visibility.
Approach and implementation
Within the project Interoperability between platforms (IMP), we chosed to work with energy consumption and have created what we call Energi KPI. This Energi KPI makes properties´ energy consumption comparable and gives an indication of which properties stand out when it comes to energy consumption. In this way, property companies and municipalities get an opportunity to prioritize resources and time for properties that stand out in terms of energy consumption. In addition, we have investigated the connections between air quality and energy consumption in properties
