Important results from the project
The Swedish Internet Foundation is an independent, private foundation that works for the positive development of the internet. Our overall goal for this project was to increase digital security in Sweden. The project has worked with educating the participating actors, informing the public, investigating different forms of cooperation, and identifying appropriate tools and data sources for the lab.
Expected long term effects
The project has increased competence and raised the level of awareness among the general public as well as among administrators, investigators and other persons who, in their professional practice, come into contact with internet-related fraud. A further feasibility study is ongoing during the fall of 2019 to further investigate forms of coorporation against internet-related fraud.
Approach and implementation
The project began with gathering relevant actors to capture their needs. Based on their wishes, the project came to work on educating the participating actors, informing the public, investigating forms of cooperation and identifying appropriate tools and data sources.
