Purpose and goal

Attracting and retaining international talent is critical to addressing the current skills shortage. In this project we want to explore how we can strengthen the individual´s conditions for establishment through more ways into the Swedish society. The goal of the project is to match the needs of the talents with the offers of society and civil society to ensure a successful establishment. We intend to explore how so-called “International Hubs” could add a value proposition to the basic service functions offered to international talents.

Expected effects and result

International talents face many challenges when establishing themselves in Sweden. In order to fully enjoy a place, an attractive job is required, but also a rich leisure time and friends. Through International Hubs, we want to offer international talents an opportunity to enter Swedish society by matching the needs of the individual with the offers of society and civil society. The method for mapping these offer will be able to be applied to more places in Sweden and give international talents throughout Sweden the same opportunity for integration.

Planned approach and implementation

In this project, we will initially develop a method for inventorying relevant associations, project, organizations etc. Using this method, we will then inventory these offers. The result will be presented in a digital way that will be made visible in a relevant place in the existing infrastructure for international talents. We will also conduct events where the offer can be presented and where civil society can meet international talents. Finally, we will document the process so that similar efforts can be made in more places in Sweden.
