Important results from the project

The project has reached a first important step towards an interactive platform, a prototype/application where gis-information is gathered and analysed. The project has problematized around variations in abilities, and the consequences for access to resources for those with different abilities. The project has provided increased exchange between practice and academy, knowledge dissemination, and contributed to a development of the so called continuous, comprehensive planning. The co-creation process has been central for the work.

Expected long term effects

New approaches and methods has been developed for how access to social resources may be analysed and understood based on different abilities. An interactive prototype (application) has been developed including principles of how to analyse access including different abilities. Data from the municipality or open data has been used. A VR-model has been developed, an education package has been produced (focusing on social sustainability) and the project has contributed to ‘Kunskapsbanken’ (Boverket). Collaboration beteween the actors have been enriching.

Approach and implementation

The project Interactive Platform has been running for 1,5 years and include 5 work packages. The work has been organized around meetings (7), 2 testbeds and 3 steering committee meetings. The meetings include workshops, lectures, exchange, preliminary results and an arena for feedback. Collaboration between the actors has been highly important for the results. KTH arranged a conference, ‘Accessible Upplands Väsby’, with 44 participants from different cities, departments, companies and research actors. Important foundation for taking the next step, new projects are planned.
