Important results from the project
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** This world-unique project has explored how drones can best be integrated with regional emergency care to create value for citizens. During the project, drones have been used to deliver a defibrillator to the scene of an emergency in the event of real-world cardiac arrest within a few minutes, thus enabling defibrillation before the ambulance arrives. The project has also investigated other use cases for drones in emergency care and gathered experience for further development and innovation.
Expected long term effects
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project has not only resulted in new knowledge and improved work processes but also concretely in that the Västra Götaland region has procured his unique drone service from 1 June 2022. VGR has also allocated resources for continued innovation and research in collaboration with Everdrone and KI.
Approach and implementation
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project has been carried out with three different perspectives in mind: Clinical (VGR), academic (KI) and industry / business (Everdrone). In addition to the three main project partners, a number of actors have contributed crucial support; these include SOS Alarm (initiates the care case via 112 calls) and ACR (air traffic control). The co-operation with all parties has essentially proceeded very well with clearly defined areas of responsibility.
