Important results from the project
Collaboration is seen as a means of utilizing the university´s knowledge assets and contributing to a positive societal development but can of course take many different forms depending on the context and target groups. There is no right or wrong in how we do it, but that we do it in a structured, integrated and well-defined way is the basis for a well-functioning quality system with good conditions to produce value for all our stakeholders. The project proposes a generic quality system to inspire the higher education institutions´ quality development work.
Expected long term effects
The project has developed a generic integrated quality system model based on the stakeholders´ needs and expectations (internal as well as external). A pro-active process to follow up, analyze and improve the co-creational work with the goal of creating better impact of university´s knowledge assets. A process that emphasizes how instead of what, which focuses on added value instead of result-based activity indicators and includes an overall picture of the university´s strategies and processes for planned impact.
Approach and implementation
The project has consisted of eight "work packages" designed to illuminate the various parts of a quality system, test and develop new models and tools and not least to create a joint learning for participating universities: An inventory of quality work in the sector; Overall definitions of terms; Collaborative Party Evaluation and Impact Case Studies; Pilots - Quality systems and evaluations at the University of Gothenburg, Linnaeus University and Malmö University.
