Purpose and goal
ELL’s vision is to be the leading national center and an international role model for lifelong learning of experts in industry and academia. The aim is to create an innovative eco-system for collaboration and cross-organizational learning where industry and academia work and adapt together. The overarching purpose is to address the industrial needs to significantly increase the capability and capacity of Swedish organizations to reskill and upskill their employees, focusing on experts that already have significant competence in advanced digitalization.
Expected effects and result
Overall, ELL answers to continuous advanced learning needs for technical experts within the Swedish industry and academia. This project phase aims to define a full-scale ELL based on lessons learned in previous phases which will complement the Advanced Digitalization Program. The objectives of this phase are to define, develop and validate the ELL by delivering e.g. suggestion of new forms of collaboration between academia and industry, a business plan, suggestions for digital platform, a refined Playbook (guide) for integrated learning and a catalogue of Learning Journeys.
Planned approach and implementation
This project uses agile project management tools, where we use Kanban boards in MS Teams, and weekly stand-up meetings for transparency. The work is planned, prioritized, and performed in Work packages (WP), lead by WP leads. Steering committee meetings are held regularly for them to accept or decline proposals from the core team and WP leads. Iterative methods are preferred for exploratory projects, where guidelines are agreed in the core team and with the steering committee, but the processes of how to achieve specific tasks are defined by each WP.
