Important results from the project

The aim of the project has been to set a structure for when municipalities work with procurement of innovative solutions in cooperation with cluster organisations. The structure includes work methods and a financing model. Work methods for activities that: improve the competency of network members, engage external actors for innovation and for the procurement of innovative solutions and for the administration of the network have been decided and documented. The general principle for how the work for the network shall be financed is also agreed upon.

Expected long term effects

The network activities are structured in 3 complementing parts: One to improve the knowledge of members in the network, one to deal with innovations and procurement of such solutions and one to describe what is needed to run the network. These activities, for all 3 parts, are described in a matrix where it is described what the results and the effects of the specific activity are. Example: Activity - Seminars Results - Lectures, increases in knowledge Effect - The increase in knowledge will improve the network and lead to an increasingly improved procurement process for innovations.

Approach and implementation

The project was treated like an assignment, from the municipalities, placed with SBHub and HUT. The project group has met at least once a month. Starting from a sketch of desired functions for the network SBHub and HUT suggested solutions which were reviewed during the meeting. The municipalities left suggestions and preferences for the next meeting. The parts of the structure were worked-out in this way. The parts had to be well integrated in the whole which meant that an iterative process was performed at each meeting. Each participant has thus reflected several times on the structure.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
