Venture Cooperation between Sweden och Israel

Purpose and goal

The project aims to establish cooperation within the digitalisation of the transport system with the aim to increase traffic safety, streamline road maintenance and contribute to a more sustainable transport system. By establishing long-term cooperation between Sweden and Singapore, a platform is created to take advantage of the possibilities of digitization in the transport system.

Expected effects and result

By establishing long-term and broad research collaboration in the area of digital transformation and mobility. The project creates the conditions for joint innovation between Sweden and Singapore. The project will specifically investigate how NIRAS products, such as “Road Health”, can be used in new and innovative ways for the planning and follow-up and maintenance. Research collaboration between Sweden and Singapore could accelerate the state of knowledge and implementation in both countries.

Planned approach and implementation

The project consists of the following main elements: 1. Visit to Singapore, Activity 1 2. Workshop and further process to establish collaboration, Activity 2 3. Feasibility study for Nira´s solutions in Singapore, Activity 3 4. Innovative matchmaking – match challenges and problems against solutions for new research projects. Activity 4
