Important results from the project

The project has to a large extent achieved the aim of simplifying healthcare providers to implement health care at a distance and reduce the gap between health care needs and the solutions the industry can provide to create more innovation. We have created a structure for visualizing health care needs and best practices through scenarios and experience maps presented, for different target groups, in a website. The industry can take advantage of the needs and develop new solutions while a caregiver can enjoy a good working solution and get motives to implement this in their own business.

Expected long term effects

In the application we wrote that our results will lead to healthcare more easily find solutions for care at a distance and that, eg leads to new assignments for primary care. We also wrote that the results will allow more and more efficient solutions, and that by models of business opportunity, verification function, the integration of operations and clearer picture of what solutions are needed, stimulates growth. We can not yet see the effect, but we think the way we visualize good examples, coordinates the various initiatives and clarifies the need in the long term will create the effect.

Approach and implementation

The consortium consisted of many parties but care has along with a few industrial partners has been a driving force in the project. Interest has been great and it is clear that health care is the primary actor who must manage the business. The interest from industry partners shows that the hub is an innovative national coordination activity for care at a distance. There are still some challenges with the hub organization that must be addressed in order to create a stable feature that is sustainable, eg financing. Many ideas exist and there is great interest so the conditions are good.
