Purpose and goal

The project aims to develop a concept for an innovation competition within quantum technology and to implement the same. 3-5 winning contributions will be selected, which will be allocated project funds for a respective feasibility study. The goal of this project is also to give attention to both the winning contributions (feasibility studies) but also to draw attention to the field at large, as much of the project communication will show the possibilities of quantum in various applications.

Expected effects and result

The project addresses important aspects which we believe are of importance to Swedish actors in quantum technology and can eventually contribute to the development of a new quantum technology industry in Sweden. Part of the project´s potential also lies in an increased competitiveness of the owners of needs whose problems will be addressed in the competition. With the project, we want to arouse a wider public interest in quantum technology through communication and dissemination of the results.

Planned approach and implementation

The project will be implemented in 5 different stages: 1) Design of the innovation competition (identify problems with the established the companies, develop concepts for the competition, appoint a jury, etc.) 2) Call for proposals of competition 3) Assessment of received competition contributions and appoint winners (at GoWest investor forum) 4) Implementation of project ideas by designated winners 5) Communication of results
