Purpose and goal
The project will mobilize Swedish academia, to enable further training of at least 1000 professionals per year and innovative, large-scale, lifelong learning in industry. Vinnova´s strategic innovation program Produktion2030 and 13 universities within The Swedish Production Academy will jointly with industry, employers´ organizations and unions further develop and scale-up the modular educational offer -Ingenjör4.0 with a focus on industrial digitalisation for professionals with an engineering background.
Expected effects and result
The project will contribute a total of 2300 trained professionals with an engineering background after three years, as well as continuous capacity for 1000 trained per year. Furthermore, 48 education modules are created and can be combined into "learning paths" for matching to the needs of individuals. The project contributes to creating an efficient, national training platform for up-skilling and life-long learning. Furthermore, the project will contribute to analysis and experience feedback to other up- and reskilling programs through a policy lab and follow-up research.
Planned approach and implementation
For three years, Ingenjör4.0 will be scaled up from about 100 participants to over 1000+, annually. The implementation through the modules in Ingenjör4.0 is led by teachers and professors from universities and university colleges. In parallel, the range of continuing education modules within the 16 identified module areas will be expanded to 48, through specialization within the respective module areas. Policy issues such as financing models, certification and accreditation are developed and tested. Long-term organization and operation of the project are developed and tested.
