Purpose and goal

The aim of InfraAwards 2024 is to find innovative solutions in the area of connected transport infrastructure to promote the construction industry´s digital transformation and contribute to sustainable and climate-neutral transport infrastructure. The project´s objective is to carry out the innovation competition and to appoint a winning proposal, which at a later stage can be given the opportunity to seek funds for further development towards implementation.

Expected effects and result

The project´s expected results is a well-executed innovation competition with a designated winner. InfraSweden´s innovation competitions contribute to the program´s ambitions and goals, by speeding up the process for creating innovative solutions, stimulating creativity and innovative thinking, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Innovation competitions also contribute to the overall innovative capacity, competitiveness and attractiveness of the transport infrastructure sector.

Planned approach and implementation

InfraAwrads 2024 will be conducted in collaboration with SIP Smart Built Environment, which has its focus on using digitalisation in built environment. The project´s working group determines target groups and marketing channels as well as assessment criteria. The winner of the competition is selected based on assessment criteria by an external evaluating panel. The winner is announced at a suitable event, and gets the opportunity to apply for project funds for further development.
