Important results from the project
The ICS pilot aims to plan and enable ICS as a future component for the digitization of Swedish industry. The goal is to establish a national cloud platform with a focus on digitalisation and innovation, where Swedish digitization projects are given access to advanced computing resources and storage capacity. The result of the pilot is a project plan, detailed description of services and training packages. The design of the ICS activities is based on discussions with needs owners and related initiatives.
Expected long term effects
We have developed a functioning model for financing, identified expectations for a cloud platform, and mapped out obstacles to digitization among potential needs owners. The end result is an attractive platform with the potential to strengthen Swedish companies in the digitization process.
Approach and implementation
Pilot was conducted through interviews with potential users to understand how ICS should be best designed. In addition, discussions were conducted with related initiatives, such as the Digital Main Line, AI Innovation of Sweden, iHubSweden to find ways to reach out to stakeholders and maximize synergies. Finally, it has done an external analysis of digitization and clouds.
