Important results from the project

We have looked into the young people´s situation with psycological problems from their perspective and also from parents and therapists perspective. Based on that, we have created a digital service with features like Mitt humör kalender, Må bra coach, information and a chat tool with a therapist, as well as video calls. The physical service consists of therapy in conversational form and various forms of coach support. Sankt Lukas in Sandviken opens a reception for young people in cooperation with schools and is a suitable for a first test site and further development of the service.

Expected long term effects

Sankt Lukas has the experience and knowledge for being a very good therapy partner for young adults when they need support in different ways. The organization is nationwide and has good resources and competent therapists in order to help young people with psychological issues. By providing a digital solution in the form of an app, Sankt Lukas can offer a tool for young people, parents, schools and organizations, and create a focal point that increases the ability to follow-up and gives young people the opportunity to test a support from a therapist in an easy way.

Approach and implementation

The project has been crucial for understanding how the situation looks like for young people. It is a complex situation they end up with many actors who do individual actions of different nature. It has been clear that parents are the ones who have ultimate responsibility for their children and that their role and opportunities for help also affect the young. For Saint Lukas as an organization, the project has been important for understanding how future e-health solutions will change the therapy situation and what opportunities digital tools can offer.
