Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The purpose of the project was for the doctoral student to gain knowledge of what synchrotron-X-ray microtomography can add to research in the specific field, and how experiments should be planned and how results can be evaluated. The latter is important because the method easily results in large amounts of information. This aim partly fulfilled, the student has an idea of how experiments in both a large-scale facility and a smaller lab-tomograph should be carried out. There is a drawing for how the current rig needs to be adapted to an existing tomograph.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The PhD student has learned a lot about synchrotron experiments, evaluation methods and tomography. However, within the framework of the project, he will not complete an experimental setup or run any experiments in either the tomograph or the synchrotron.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** This project could not be carried out during the pandemic because progress required that the PhD student visited at least Lunds Universitet, but preferably also other facilities such as Max IV or perhaps even better one of them with even higher energy. After the pandemic, the project was not prioritized over the plans that the pandemic "forced" forward, so to speak.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
