Important results from the project
This pre-study has been conducted by interviewing a number of companies and organizations for the interest to use and engage in a future RTIC - Railway Testing and Innovation Center. The conducted interviews with about 20 companies and organizations shows that there is a great interest from a number of actors to start up and operate in an RTIC in 2018, based on access to the Tillberga-Tortuna railway track, outside Västerås.
Expected long term effects
The pre-study has been an important prerequisite for obtaining the evidence that now indicates that there are good opportunities for realizing a first step in establishing a RTIC.
Approach and implementation
The information from the various interviews has been compiled and the utilization rate has been estimated, to evaluate if sustainable business in at test center can be achieved.
