Important results from the project

´The goal is to achieve dramatic weight reductions and increased performance of mechanical springs in vehicles´. A spring design weighing 25% compared to a standard spring has been manufactured and evaluated with good results.

Expected long term effects

The new spring design will be a ground breaking new commercial product within suspension systems.

Approach and implementation

The project consisted of two main parts: Process development and application/design. Two separate, isolated projects had most likely been preferred.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
