Important results from the project
The project aims to improve diagnostics and treatment of diabetes. The project within Swelife has resulted in greater opportunities to make this concept availalble and scalable to companies and healthcare. AThe project is a first step towards more personalized treatment of diabetes.
Expected long term effects
An app has for example been developed that can be used by healthcare providers to map which subgroup of diabetes a patient has. We have had contacts with Nationell Kunskapsstyrning and also with NDR, the national diabetes registry to increase visibility for ANDIS/ANDIU. An agreement has been made with a pharma company on using the concept for improved diagnostics and treatment.
Approach and implementation
We have worked externally with various actors, both locally and nationally and established important networks to take the project further. In retrospect, the project could have started earlier with these outward-looking activities and should also have previously hired a strategic coordinator, which took place during the last year.
