Improved decissionmaking within animal production using AI

Important results from the project

The purpose of the project was to improve the decision support through the use of AI based algorithms. The project goal is well fullfilled. AI-based algorithms will help to improve Hencol´s decision support.

Expected long term effects

Improved decision support in animal management will improve animal health, reduce climate impact and contribute to an increased profitability for the industry´s actors. Decision support is an important component in a digitilized green industry but can also be used for other animal husbandry, for example to ensure the health of endangered animals.

Approach and implementation

During the project, existing algorithms were evaluated and areas for improvement with AI based algorithms were identified. The project then tested various forms of AI based algorithms and evaluated the results of these. The project had access to real data for analysis.
