Important results from the project
The product has been developed to the extent that it can soon be used in ongoing clinical practice. Cooperation with external parties has been deepened, and the own organization´s implementation department has been professionalized, which provides practical conditions for implementation. The project´s objectives have thus been well fulfilled and paves the way for turning the innovation into a self-sufficient operation. The product has also been adapted for use in the UK.
Expected long term effects
The project has already had a clear effect on the acceptance of the system. The main applicant has through the project developed and professionalized its structures for implementation and education, which provides the conditions for a wide introduction after the project period, taking into consideration the comprehensive clinical evaluation that has taken place (multicenter RCT). In many cases, collected feedback from end users has been incorporated as improvements in the product.
Approach and implementation
The basic idea of engaging end users in the design and implementation of the system has been very successful. It has brought insights to the developer and an acceptance and demand among the receiving parties that only such an exchange could have achieved.
