Purpose and goal

A business incubator for new knowledge-intensive growth companies. With professional business development and a well-adapted network, we will support people with ideas that can be developed into long-term profitable and scalable businesses to grow and compete internationally, as well as contribute to socially beneficial growth. Our long-term objective is to grow, in the number of companies we help but also in which areas we operate. The incubator will continue to be a broad incubator but will also be developed with clear top areas linked to the region´s specific strength areas.

Expected effects and result

The result and effects take place in the longer term, where companies usually have their commercial impact in years 5-9 from the start of the company. Since 2004, a large number (almost 300) companies have developed through the Ideon Innovations incubator program and companies such as Storytel, Bonesupport, Parkster, Simris Alg, started their journey in our environment. Companies that have undergone our incubator process have a total turnover (2018) of approx. 3,300,000 (SEK thousand) and they have created over 2,000 jobs.

Planned approach and implementation

Society is facing major changes linked to the climate threat. We see a growing need for solutions that counteract this - innovations, new types of entrepreneurship, interdisciplinary networks and new models / tools that support this which we as incubators will and want to work with.
