Important results from the project
1. Concept study 1.1 - Evaluate at least 3 concept solutions to the requirements: assembly time, shear strength and production ability. 2. Concept solution 2.2 Modeling the selected solution in 3D 3. Verification of possible intellectual property rights 3.3 Searching in PRV databases and finding possible approaches to protecting the concept.
Expected long term effects
In this work we have looked at current fasteners & mapped its strengths & weaknesses, this has resulted in a new concept. By searching the PRV patent base, we have looked at related patents, but the assessment is that this concept can be patented.
Approach and implementation
New production methods require new types of fasteners. By combining multiple functions in one and the same time, you can save time and still get a good connection.
