Important results from the project
This project has ensured a strong role of Sweden in the European vision for Human-centred AI, in particular participation in the HumaneAI-Net project centered around research and innovation on the societal and ethical impact of AI, in which Umeå University already plays a central role. This strategic grant enabled also to contribute to the awareness of the importance of a human-centered, responsible and trustworthy development and use of AI, across many Sweden organisations.
Expected long term effects
Results of the project are 1. A successful European project on human-centred AI, HumaneAI-Net (https://www.humane-ai.eu/) in which Sweden has a central role, with Umeå University being one of the 3 partners in the coordination team, and leading a workpackage 2. Workshops, lectures and a seminar series to ensure awareness of and collaborations on the responsible developement and use of Artificial Intelligence
Approach and implementation
The project was implemented through the establishment of strategic European collaborations and the creation of a process of awareness events and activities, ensuring a continued outreach and interaction on the topic of human-centered artificial intelligence.
