Important results from the project
A representative group of Swedish and international actors and experts has been be engaged. Needs and opportunites, from a patient perspective, were identified and an innovation agenda aiming towards renewal and increased innovation capabilities within the field Spare Parts for the human Body was prepared.
Expected long term effects
Needs, challenges and opportunities in health care and from a patient perspective were identified. In collaboration with two other agenda Projects - Medtech 4 Health and Swedish Bioimaging - an application for a strategic innovation programme has also been prepared and submitted to Vinnova.
Approach and implementation
The Project has been carried out by representatives of ca 10 organizations, including leading research environments throughout Sweden, research institutes, the health care sector, and the industry association Swedish Medtech. Three workshops were arranged, dealing with needs and opportunities, and activities and initiatives aimed at strengthening Swedish innovation capacity in the area.
