Important results from the project

The purpose of HOPE Databroker was to further develop, package and deliver the modern communication platform as a hub for the entire information flow for all innovation actors around a diabetic patient´s health journey. The purpose of the further development was to, based on the patient and the innovation actors´ needs, support a more efficient results, integrated and patient-centered cohesive diabetes care. The goals have been met well through deliveries in all areas (platform, e-services, management and legal analysis). time frame.

Expected long term effects

The result is several partial deliveries: 1) Further development of HOPE Databroker as a “backend data broker”, 2) innovative e-services, 3) 63,460 deidentified data items were shared with contestants, 4) The platform stored 19,287 data items and 43,658 data items via the deidentified account with personal data via the Mitt Individkonto. In summary, the project laid the foundation for the introduction and offer of a platform that gave contestants the opportunity to develop useful e-services for diabetic patients.

Approach and implementation

The project has been carried out in close collaboration with Vinnova, competition participants, individuals, regions, patient association. A total of 24 competition participants, 17 individuals, 37 patients, 4 regions and several authorities have been involved and contributed to the project´s successful results. The work has been characterized by very cross-functional collaboration, e.g. at regular weekly meetings, workshops with individuals, health care and competition participants, IMY, Socialstyrelsen and other ministries as well as the jury members.
