Purpose and goal

The HIGHLIGHT project aims to develop an innovative solution for quality control of pharmaceutical tablets. By using a high-performance diode laser with low noise levels, rapid and non-destructive tablet analysis is made possible, reducing reliance on slow and destructive tests. Beyond enhanced production efficiency in pharmaceuticals, the technology also opens up future applications in other areas, such as environmental monitoring.

Expected effects and result

The HIGHLIGHT project is expected to lead to an innovative solution for rapid and reliable quality control of pharmaceutical tablets. By enabling non-destructive testing the project contributes to increased safety, efficiency, and precision in pharmaceutical production, which in turn can reduce waste and costs. In the long term, the technology also opens up new applications in other sectors, such as environmental monitoring, where the demand for accurate and efficient measurement methods is high

Planned approach and implementation

The project is carried out in three stages for efficient development and implementation. First, a prototype with basic functions is developed to gather early user feedback and identify areas for improvement. Next, a functional prototype is created, tested, and evaluated by potential users to ensure it meets market needs. Finally, the final prototype is optimized and validated to meet requirements for performance, safety, and user-friendliness before commercialization.
