Replace the magnetron in the microwave oven with a solid state amplifier for higher efficiency, smaller size and comparable cost

Approach and implementation
A new solid state amplifier based on a new combination of material for implementing the switching device( LDMOS on silicon film on poly SiC. A fallback was implementing the switching device on high resistivity silicon. As the first option failed se above it was fortunate to have the fallback which looks very promising.
