Important results from the project

The purpose of the feasibility study was to investigate whether the establishment of HälsaSverigea national organization focused on promoting health and preventing ill health and diseasecould contribute to developing a better functioning Swedish "eco-system" for these issues. The results from the consultative process clearly indicate that there is a need for, interest in, and conditions favorable for the establishment of such an organization.

Expected long term effects

One main outcome is the initiation of the formation of the organization, whose purpose and working methods are based on findings from the consultation process. HälsaSverige aims to work for change at the structural and systems level to contribute to a healthier Sweden. This work will be based on evidence and proven experience and will involve collaboration and advocacy with civil society, authorities, businesses, academia, and funders, targeting decision-makers at various levels.

Approach and implementation

The structure, described in the ´Project Summary - Outcome,´ consisted of a user-centered/co-creation process in three iterative steps, from understanding to proposal. Analysis: Good balance between structure & inclusive approach Value created from applying various methods Helped incorporate diverse perspectives depending on field /organizational affiliation Engagement was a key success factor Very positive response for the organization Time restraint
