Purpose and goal

The project will investigate the use of hollow fiber membranes for efficient rainwater harvesting in Singapore. Through feasibility studies, the project will assess the technical, economic and environmental potential to reduce dependence on imported water and carbon dioxide emissions.

Expected effects and result

The project is expected to reduce Singapore´s dependence on imported water, reduce carbon dioxide emissions and contribute to sustainable solutions for water management. The knowledge exchange between Sweden and Singapore will strengthen innovation and gender equality in water management.

Planned approach and implementation

The project will carry out technical and economic evaluations as well as environmental analyzes of hollow fiber membranes. Through collaborations between Swedish and Singaporean actors, workshops, field studies and comparisons between climate conditions are planned for the best solutions.
